Air tightness tester(referred to as airtightness meter)Mainly used for waterproof sealing test of products or componentsIt ensures that there are no defects in the measured object that could lead to water or air leakage, hence the nameWaterproof Test Equipment, airtightness leak detector,Sealing TesterThe
Air tightness meter is a widely used in new energy, household appliances, automobile parts, consumer electronics, medical equipment, security lighting, valves, pipelines, wire connectors and other seals air tightness test equipment, can be used as an industrial production line batch test, but also can be used as a factory quality sampling or corporate laboratory.
According to different testing principles, the common testing methods of air tightness tester are mainly divided into the following seven:
Ⅰ.positive pressure
Pressure decay method is also called pressure drop method, first, the workpiece under test is inflated, after reaching the target value, the inflation valve is closed, and the pressure change from inflation to pressure maintaining multi-stage is monitored, so as to determine whether the product under test is leaking or not.
Tips. If the pressure drops beyond the set standard threshold within a certain period of time, the airtightness of the product under test is considered to be unqualified; conversely, the airtightness is qualified within the test criteria.
Instrument characteristics:Waterproofing test for any open, inflatable hole product.
Applications:Speakers, outdoor LED lighting, water purifier cartridges, etc.
Ⅱ.suction
First of all, through the instrument will be tested product sealing cavity pumping to the target negative pressure value, monitoring the pumping process pumping and testing process of each stage of the pressure change, to determine whether the product leakage.
Instrument characteristics: For open type products (with holes for air extraction), the pressure inside the product is made less than the external atmospheric pressure.
Applications:Automotive, home appliances, medical, valve bodies and electronic components.
III.quantitative
The workpiece under test is first inflated, and the mass volume of gas filled into the product under test is monitored to determine whether the product is leaking or not by judging the mass and pressure changes in the mass volume.
Instrument characteristics:Applicable to any fully enclosed, airtight products, compatible with open type. (JC-LZ10020 quantitative air tightness meter compatible with direct pressure test mode)
Applications:Watches, bracelets, cell phones, stopwatches, GPS locators, electric toothbrushes, etc.
IV.flow-through
By real-time monitoring of the gas flow changes into the product under test, based on the flow changes to determine whether it meets the test standards.
Instrument characteristics:Suitable for leakage and blockage detection of open pipelines or vessels.
Applications:Various types of valves, vacuum pumps, piping, capillary tubes, etc.
V.differential pressure
Differential pressure method is through the instrument internal differential pressure sensor, in the test holding pressure process in real time to monitor the pressure difference between the tested parts and the standard parts, so as to determine whether there is a leakage exceeding the standard.
Instrument characteristics:For any high pressure, high precision product under test.
Applications:Die castings, new energy motor shells, new energy control boxes, etc.
VI.positive and negative pressure
Integrates both positive and negative pressure test modes, supporting both positive and negative pressure methods.
Instrument characteristics:For open type products (with holes for pumping or inflating), the test pressure can be adjusted according to the real product protection level status.
Applications:Speakers, LED lamps, automotive, home appliances, medical, valves and electronic components.
VII.helium mass spectrometry
By spraying helium into the sealed part of the measured workpiece, and then analyzing the helium concentration from the opposite direction by vacuuming or probe monitoring, the size of the leakage value is calculated to determine whether the product is leaking or not.
Instrument features: high detection sensitivity, can detect 3 × 10-13 Pa-m³/s level of small leakage detection rate, locate the leakage location, but the equipment is more expensive, the cost of nitrogen is high.
Applications: medical equipment, valves and piping, water-cooled panels, etc.
In addition these factors need to be considered when selecting an airtightness tester:
1. Detection accuracy:The accuracy of the testing instrument is critical for some applications. If you need to test low or high pressure applications, then accuracy is very important.
2. Detection speed:Inspection speed is also important for some applications. If you need to inspect a large number of products quickly, you need to choose an instrument that can do it in a short period of time.
3. Scope of testing:Different airtightness testing instruments have different testing ranges. Therefore, when choosing a testing instrument, you need to consider the size and shape of the product you need to test.
4. Reliability:The reliability of the testing instrument is very important for the application on the production line. Therefore, a reliable instrument needs to be selected to ensure that the production line is not shut down due to instrument failure.
